Also, who's responsible for the Chevron renderings and are they releasing any of this to the media?
Wells, this is 7200 Main. Was waiting for someone on HAIF to come along and confirm whether it's an official project or not. HOK has it listed as an ongoing project.

That's pretty! If it wasn't for the height, I'd think that was a proposal for a tower in Guangzhou or Shenzhen. hahaha Nice!

The GRB office building looks good. That area is really filling up. Do we have any confirmation on when Chevron is going to start construction on their tower? I really like the glass and the height for the tower. It will be a great addition to the skyline.

The specifics in these renderings are great, for example the skybridge and the lobby level detail.

At first I thought that was an incredibly sexy entrance to the tunnel system, but now I see it is a roof terrace at the lower level. Wow.

It reminds me a lot of the Transbay tower in San Francisco. Very Beautiful project overall.

West Memorial Place has topped out and half of it is occupied. A second building may be in the offing soon. From BisNow:

The Chron has published a development heat map for Houston, and it's what you'd expect...

West and north side dominate office construction, population

I'm sorry, I'm probably a minority here, but I feel the 7200 Main signature tower is what Chevron should have done. I was really hoping for another signature tower downtown and thought Chevron would deliver. Instead I'm disappointed. Just my opinion yall! Don't want to start a heated debate.

no problem rellott, your opinions are most welcome. in reference to Chevron, i really do not think that we have viewed all of their prospective renderings thus far.

i suspect that their most current renderings illustrated.. are speculative. just my opinion..

I agree with you. This tower is beautiful and I think it would look great in Chevron's downtown location. I have nothing against Chevron's current design, but this would really transform downtown's skyline.

Speaking of things that make you go "meh", there's a new plan to tear down the Dome and rebuild the walls. You think I'm joking?

$66M plan would replace dome with green space

Regency Centers proposes to buy AmREIT, which will have an impact on how Uptown Park redevelops.

AmREIT considers buyout offer

As of this morning, AmREIT says they're not interested.

i have been trying in earnest to figure out a way to respond to these new astrodome revelations. somehow, i just cannot adequately respond. maybe, at some point, i shall need to reference more updated concepts.... i just do not know...

Millennium II just got a major new tenant - National Oilwell Varco. They're taking the whole building.

NOV is consolidating into a new office building

Incidentally, this building is not in any of the databases though it began construction back in February.

I wonder where they got the idea to do the building in the shape of a rectangle? Its brilliant. And the blue glass facade must have taken them months to come up with.
