This land is currently contains a private dwelling on a large lot near the SW corner of Shediac Rd/Harrisville, near Bistro 33
It seems to be almost double the size of the Property containing Bistro 33.

I'm wondering if they are going to subdivide the lot, and build this project on a portion of the lot while allowing the adress on Weston Street to be utilised for a residential project.

I say this since it seems acording to SNB to be 1109 Shediac Rd, and 41 Weston the legal address of this lot.

I see that Tony's Bistro on McLaughlin is expanding into the space soon-to-be-formerly-occupied by Co-operators Insurance once they decamp to the new McLaughlin Place development.

Tony's will now have eat in space for 80 diners. Good news.......

and parking for about 16 of them , I think that other than the event center, this is the worst place to find parking in town!

Tony's is a fantastic place to eat.
Agree on the parking, though there is much more parking around back.

Here's the render of this proposed commercial complex at the corner of Shediac Road and Weston Drive near the Bistro 33 plaza:

Apparently the building will be 5,400 sq ft with 60 parking spaces, and access will actually be off Weston Drive, with the building backing on Shediac Road.

There is the possibility of a "phase two" to this development, including a small retail plaza, taking total square footage up to 9,000 sq ft with 112 parking spaces.

According to the T&T, this portion of Shediac Road (near Harrisville Blvd) will be widened in 2019.

It seems to be starting.

They have heavy equipment on both sides, and the middle of the highway under the Harisville/Dieppe Blvd. Overpass... Not sure if they have any work started but they have equipment parked up.

Actually, this overpass has been under construction since this fall. The support columns are already built!

Another one bites the dust

Pannizza at the Needs on Morton Avenue has closed it's doors for the last time. The co owner of Pannizza Restaurants of Atlantic Canadda admits they had over estimated the location, and amount of bussiness they woul be getting, or lack there of.

If they had little business, I can't imagine how much they are getting off Mapleton, I have rarely ever seen anyone going inside that place.

There's a FOR LEASE sign up at the corner of McLaughlin Place. Didn't that place just fill up? Are they planning a Phase 2 or could that sign just be referring to the Pannizza?

Panniza was across the street.
I found it interesting that Subway thrived at that same location but the Panniza format didn't work. It probably didn't help when the cheapest pizza outlet in town opened in McLaughlin Place plus they were surrounded by Pizza Twins, Pizza Twice, Freddies, Pizza Delight and other pizza options.

Keep in mind Subway only had Ed Subs to compete with. Compared to Pannizza as you've named most Pizza places in the area Most places in that area have poutine as well, and both at cheaper prices then Pannizza.

The provincial government has apparently just committed $300k towards a new sports field at Moncton High School. There is the expectation that other moneys (federal and community raised) will be needed to complete the project

This should have been part of the project from day one.........

This is this building mentioned above:

And here is a colour image from your link to the Huddle article:

Apparently construction is imminent with a planned opening in 2019.
