Nicklas Lidstrom announces his retirement after 1,564 games and 1,142 pts (6th all-time among D).

One of best defenseman to ever play the game that's for sure.

Devils have only themselves to blame for that loss... they missed a billion chances.

Also Quick (right now)>Brodeur (right now).

Congrats Kings,unreal run.

KIngs have been around a long time, but at the same time, to watch them hoist the Stanley Cup would be the same as watching the Carolina Hurricanes hoisting the Stanley Cup... strange.

Nah, the Kings have been around for 45 years.. It'd be more like watching the Blues or Canucks lift the cup.

LOL, dude stop living in the past... the Leafs won all those Cups when the NHL was 6 teams big. That's even smaller than the CFL.

Actually they won 4 before the Original Six era. Learn your history else you look like an idiot.

But if you'd like to completely discount history I guess Montreal only has 10 cups and New York and Chicago only have 1?

What NHL are you watching? Divisions are 5 teams big...

Looks like you need a lesson from this guy:

You are right. I was reading suggestions for the NHL to move to 4 divisions of 7 or 8 teams (which I think would be a good idea).

Men vs. boys out there tonight. I can't remember a playoff where one team has dominated to the extent the Kings have this year.

Considering how much parity, and how vastly improved the goaltending is in today's era of hockey, should the Kings sweep to win the Stanley Cup, they will go down as the greatest play-off team in hockey history.

looks like we are going to have an 8th seed win the cup for the first time...

Hopefully the kings can give LA a show and win it at home tomorrow.

OK, after that shutout, maybe Kings in 4. Jersey is getting schooled, hardcore. If no one in the west could touch them, no way was LA going to lose this year.
