As an Ottawa-native I'm super excited for the CFL to be back in town and the whole Lansdowne Park area will look great when it's fully completed in 2015.
Think a newcomer is going to be able to withstand the pressure of a full season when compared to a pre-season?

It's definitely going to be an away game feel for them... but I think the main objective was to get the Ottawa franchise the most coin possible, so I hope it's successful in that regard... I'll probably be there.

The hell with AB III, the Riders lost outstanding Safety/LB Butler to Hamilton.

Poor Kevin Glenn, again he has no team. Any thoughts where he will end up?

The 2014 schedule was released today.

Ottawa will have their first home game at Lansdowne on Friday, July 18 and Hamilton will host their first home game on Saturday, July 26 (against Ottawa).

Well... Dressler: gone to the NFL... Sheets: as of today, also gone to the NFL (Raiders).

It's going to be quite a different Roughrider team next year.

And there probably goes Saskatchewan's chance for a repeat, you guys are going to be a lot weaker this year which is good news for the rest of us
Tough loses but its happened to just about every team at one point or another.

Poor Kevin Glenn. His party is over before it started in Ottawa and he's demanding a trade.

http://www.torontosun.com/2014/03/07...ill-he-get-one

I can think of one team in desperate need of a veteran QB... although it sure would be awkward given that the fans more or less ran him out of town a half-decade ago...

This came out on the weekend, but apparently CFL CBA talks have broken down

http://www.torontosun.com/2014/03/07...lks-break-down

Apparently the players are digging in their heels and demanding more in light of the big TV deal signed last year. It will be interesting to see what effect this has on the league... personally I'd like to see salaries get high enough so that the CFL will become the clear next-best alternative to being a NFL starter.

^Yeah, CJ85 with Tom Higgins as his coach - they were made to go together.
Should be a fun watch, I'm sure he'll sell a few tickets throughout the leauge.

Surprised that a combo like Popp and Higgins would go for something which on the face it appears completely stupid, the guy hasn't played in nearly 3 years. This is the sort of thing that basketcase teams with incompetent management usually try to pull, e.g. Ottawa Rough Riders signing a washed-up Dexter Manley. I doubt it will even sell any tickets... does he really have any star power in Montreal?

My prediction: Ochocinco will have 250 yards heading into week 10 at which point he will quit.
