What the hell VANOC? Shouldn't these performers be in Vancouver where the venue is so much larger and needs big stars to fill up the seats?

BC Place in victory ceremony configuration: 35,000 seats
Whistler Celebration Plaza: 8,000

Damn, that does seem like a better line-up. I'm glad I'll be there a couple of days (day trip only but not returning until late night). So I'll at least be able to hear them. I will say one thing in defense of having this line-up in Whistler though. My understanding is, even though the performance area only holds 8,000, they will apparently show the ceremony and performances live on big screens in several public locations about the village. I'm not sure they are doing the same thing in Vancouver.

Sucks that hedley gets a performance spot just because they're canadian. They're so horrible. Do we really want to expose them to the world?

Better than that N word which I dare not use in case it draws cosmic attention. . .last thing we need is another Kroger special with the world watching. Or maybe they'd finally throw away the key and do us all a favour

The Whistler lineup looks great! Stars!

Well, they weren't really available unless you are a Whistler local. They never sold them during the ticket purchase opportunities.

That is, while not an amazing lineup, much better than the BC Place lineup.

At least they went for people who could sing and were from other Countries, over horrible acts just because they are Canadian.

Wow. Did somebody ever mix up the lists. The Vancouver one is garbage. At least I know like 50%+ of those on this list versus the Vancouver list. Deadmau5

Haha, you can tell this board is full on teenagers and twenty-somethings. The idea was to appeal to every demographic. For instance, I know my dad would crawl over dead bodies for a Burton Cummings ticket. Try booking one -- they're all gone. So much for that Christmas gift idea

Have you looked at the lineup in Vancouver? Burton Cummings is the best artist on the bill!

I'm sorry, but a lot of us who are plugged into the music scene wouldn't have the slightest clue what's happening on MTV. Most of whatever they play on that station I wouldn't even consider music and I share SpongeG's surprise that Usher is, in fact, still alive.

Well, to be fair, Usher hasn't really come out with a single in like 2 years or something.
