Actually, the office tower is 20 stories but the tallest structure will be a high end hotel/condo combination. I believe that one will be 30 stories tall.

Yeah you may be right, RealEstate on HAIF knows alot on this development, he said that as well.

The rendering posted is HKS's handiwork. I'm a fan of the concept. At this point, the Redstone/Stream conceptual plan that you're looking at calls for (1) a 20 story office tower that consists of 12 stories of large floorplate office (each floor over 33k sf, thus approx. 370k sf in total) sitting atop 8 stories of parking, (2) a taller approx. 30 story hotel/resi tower with 297 hotel rooms and 100+ resi units and (3) just under 75k sf of accompanying ground level+ retail.
Hope you guys don't mind me resurrecting a pretty dead thread, but I have an update on this.
I live across the street and down about a hundred or so yards from the site, and in the mail today I received a Notice of Variance Request, apparently because I fall within "the Chapter 42 required notification area".
From what I can gather through the bureaucratic jargon, Terra surveying Company has asked for a one foot building line along Post Oak while the ordinance requires a 25 foot building line. It references the area as "Perennial on Post Oak Subdivision".
The details of all of this are not really my interest. What I really care about is that things are actually moving to get this thing built!

They are different sizes because my fiance's scanner auto-detects the size of the page and I can't figure out how to make it stop doing that. The text being slanted wasn't me, it actually came from the city like that. And on the map page, the small text is impossible to read in person as well.
The Perennial located in Uptown in Post Oak Blvd in Houston will be really something look forward to, and I am really impressed by the two towers standing side by side – looks majestic!! The condos in tem must be really luxurious with all the ultra modern facilities and a lot of other facilities as well!!
BBVA Compass has announced that they will lease the top 6 floors of the 20 story office tower. The office tower is due to break ground in May according to the Houston Chronicle. Not sure if the entire project is a go or if just the office component will rise...
BBVA to consolidate offices in new building on Post Oak

BBVA Compass will build a 380,000-square-foot corporate office building at 2200 Post Oak Blvd.
With this building, the bank will centralize operations currently operating out of four offices in the Houston area. BBVA Compass' local executives and staff will occupy approximately 150,000 square feet of the building. The company has several real estate operations in the area because in the last few years, Spanish financial firm BBVA has acquired four US banks -- Compass Bank, State National Bank, Texas State Bank and LNB, formerly Laredo National Bank.
"Combining our corporate offices into centralized locations in key markets such as Houston, Dallas and Birmingham is a natural evolution in the integration of our U.S. banking franchise," said Manolo Sánchez, BBVA U.S. Country Manager and President and CEO of BBVA Compass. "In addition to the eco-friendly design and state-of-the-art technology of the new building, bringing together our employees into a single location will foster a more open communication channel and sharing of ideas amongst our team."
Houston-based Redstone Real Estate is the developer of the project. Manhattan Construction has been brought on to manage the overall build. BBVA Compass expects to begin occupancy of the building by the end of the first quarter of 2013. The official ground breaking for the space is scheduled to take place in May.
