Tony: Thought you might want this. It's the OMB decision allowing Ritz Carlton to build up to its planned height of 684 ft.

Height is on page 2:

http://www.omb.gov.on.ca/e%2Ddecisio...%5F%230547.pdf

Also the height you mentioned for 40 wellesley in the diagrams doesn't include the the swoop at the top of the building (I know I'm being picky. Sorry) . Total height is 533 ft.

^ Make sure to thank goodlookin' too, he's done more than me over the past few months.

LOL, wow that appeal was super-lame. Mr. Hill sounds like a little douche from that OMB report.

So basically the Globe and Mail had originally reported the height incorrectly at 213m and the building is only suppose to be 208.4m as applied for in a minor variance by CF?

Well the report states the height at 148m. The elevation drawing isn't clear enough to make out the height they have listed for the main portion of the building. All we can see is 4000 for the spire height. So at the most I think the building is 152m (499ft)

Actually nm, the 40 Wellesley thing, you were right TOBoy. On page 2 of the report it says total height 162.4m (532.8ft).

Great! Another 500 footer.

^Very true. I find that Goodlookin seems to be the one that keeps all the data straight in his head and also seems to have alot of knowledge I would never be able to find out. Usually if I want a measure of the reality of a project or how it will develop in the future, I read his posts to get an understanding.

Neeilo: You're making a great contribution to the diagrams. You're questions make sense to me so its great if you keep asking them here.

While we're at it with back patting, I'd just like to say thanx to the both of you for all your work!

Hey Neilio, would you like to make a new diagram for Festival Tower? Cuz I'm pretty sure we all know it's not going to be a lemon-yellow in colour.

lol yes that would be...interesting if it actually turned out to be that nasty colour.
I can give it a go i guess, my question is...what colour should i make it? Ive only seen the one night time rendering of it in which gives you no indication (as far as i can tell) of what it would look like in day time.

Also, im really hoping that we can get a hold on a rendering of 40 Wellesley, the second i first saw that tower i wanted to make a diagram for it!

For Festival, I think you can just assume they're going to use either blue or green glass. So just do it in your usual style.

As for 40 Wellesley, you can probably do the same, assuming it will be glass. The elevations should be sufficient to base a good accurate drawing.

alright, sounds good to me, also imhaving trouble with MLS, because it is comprised of 2 buildings..but those two buildings are in a way only one building because they are connected to the same podium, if i do a seperate a rendering for each ill have to slice an imaginary (yet real) line down the middle of the podium. If anyone has other ideas, they would greatly appreciated

Do them as one diagram if they're attatched by a podium. We can add some extra info in the database to give both heights.

Look at the Petronas tower, for example. They look much better together, no?

I've updated the new office tower, adding that Cadillac Fairview is the developer. Hopefully this will clear a few things up; since it seems to be going by Caddilac Fairview Tower, Welling Square Tower, RBC Tower etc.

Alright ill do that then, and yes the patronas towers do look better together...especially since they are connected by that bridge in the middle..wouldnt make sense to cut the bridge in half.

Alright, here are my latest towers: Festival Tower:

And 40 Wellesley:

The crown on 40 wellesley is hard to see because of the colour of the background of this forum..but it will show up allot better in the diagram.

Urban database shows verve as under excavation (I count this as under construction), and One Pinnacle Centre A as under construction.

I'll ask around on UT and see what the concensus is.

goodlookin': do you know if MLSE Tower II is fully condo, or a condo/hotel split?

Don't know

Urban Database is fully of errors; more than any other database.

Pinnacle is basically completed with a number of suites occupied; can see furniture 'n stuff through the windows from the Gardiner You heard it here first
