Also they are asking 4 million for that shack at King and Caroline

And Harry if you are reading this, 124 pounds is not heavy enough for an adult male unless they are 3 feet tall.
I am 6'4 and have been 130 lbs since I was 14 years old - I am now 33 - your ignorance is astounding. Not everyone is built the same. Look up ectomorphs.

On that note, any new news on this developement?

I'm liking the density and the height of the main floor area - where it goes up like 2 or 3 floors- has a nice Toronto density feel to it, in a good way

mind you.. I'll believe this development when I see a shovel in the ground.. its become almost a myth of something being built on this lot at this point..

Stinson doesn't own the lot. He never actually owned it. He was just frontman for the hotel project.

Hope we can see a colour render soon. Because my first thought on seeing that one is "WTF?"

But looks like it would be stone and brick (real or faux) rather than the plainer coloured paneling we've seen on other buildings, like the Regency or Homewood Suites. That's a plus.

I like the wood under the overhangs.

Really hope this goes ahead, that lot has been a disappointing eyesore for far too long.

like the render -from what can be seen in any event, would be good to know who the builder is and whether this is just another render only project

The only issue I have is what material will be used for the exterior.

Plans say "Textured Precast" for the lighter sections as well as all of the cornices. Brick and architectural block on the lower floors.

I personally would have way less of an issue with this if it weren't for those staggered windows.

Ah good, all solid materials. Was worried there was some stucco from the 6th floor and up.

Nice! Interesting this proposal grew by 8 floors....

The top floor and the material that appears to be the same on the backside concerns me highly but overall.....this looks um.....like something. Better than what's currently there. It looks like a double facadomy occurred....with a spandrel addition on top....which is better than a parking lot.

EDIT: I'm not trying to sound like I'm bashing Hamilton and this project btw....I just don't understand what's going on with the first 5 floors or so...

^It's weird but the final product can't possibly be that bad...right?
