It really needs to be someone who *generally* isn't antagonistic, so of those nominated so far, Simplicity is a complete non-starter, as is Riverman to a lesser extent (not that there is anything terrible with be antagonistic, it can be entertaining, but not a quality of a moderator IMO).
+1 for this entire statement. I do think Cyro would make a fine moderator; he just needs to frequent the forum a little more

And since he took the leap (if he is serious haha) I too would nominate jmt18325.

Out of curiosity, isn't Homeinmyshoes already a Sask moderator in our subforum?

I don't want to be that guy, but I'd like to put my name into the hat. I have years of moderation experience (most of which on vBulletin forums like this one), and was head moderator (what was previously) one of the largest Halo fan forums on the internet.

However, I mostly tread in the Saskatchewan topics.

Stormer or Nathan get my nomination as they are both reliable and trustworthy.
Whether either of them would be interested or has the time to moderate is another thing.

I'll back Cyro as well. Good contributor and respectful of other people's points of view.

I don't really believe that post count should be a factor in choosing a moderator. Behaviour, attitude, and experience are far more important than number of posts.

No, numbers of post and duration of membership on this forum trump everything else. If someone just came on to this site and read some of the posts by certain members they would deem some of them inappropriate without seeing the overall posts made by that/ those members. I'm also wary of anyone who nominates them-self.

I'm wary of anyone who would nominate Simplicity.

Why? Are you afraid of smart people?

I also agree on Homer. Post count means nothing.

Not that I want to do it, but how much time is a mod expected to put in?

I would expect that most of us here have full time jobs and don't have a lot of time to hang out checking posts 24/7.

And I would not have a problem with Cyro if he is interested in the position.

What is wrong with you?

Yes, I like reading his posts because he is experienced and knowledgeable. I treat him with respect because he treats me with respect. He shits on you because you write moronic posts like the one quoted.

Grow up.

That is not correct. I am a moderator of general photography, but I've asked to be removed from that.

I may be moderate, but I am not moderator material.

Even though he's not around these parts as much anymore, I think Roccerfeller would be a very good moderator.

No, because he lacks the ability to follow forum rules himself, and has been banned on more than one occasion. Not sure how much intelligence it takes to understand that someone who can't follow rules wouldn't be able to enforce them very well.
