If you liked it in January, you should really give April thru October a try. ;-)

And excluding the CN Tower, nothing over 1000 feet. Unless changes are made to Trump (unlikely) or 1 Bloor E (maybe).

And Maldive's composition only shows new projects for the city of Toronto... and nothing for the surrounding burbs.

Hi folks. I was just wondering, there are a lot of cool buildings on the "proposed" list that have been "proposed" for a long time - and I still don't see any activity at Trumps's site - Saphire is now gone the way of the Dodo bird - Signature has become a "Vision" - Aura is on hold. Anybody with some inside info??

saaphire is dead

Trump is starting next month...

Signature will be built but in some other form it appears. The developer has built like 8-10 buildings with like 4 u/c and with two-three in sales. Then they will build whatever signature will be. Actually the project for building these 16-20 some buildings has gone quicker then expected.

Aura was a massive 75 stories and the city really were not happy with it being so tall especially if it was on yonge street.. They are now dealing with each other.

I hope you are right, but I will believe it when I see it.

Also, I feel very badly for the investors in Sapphire as they have lost a great deal of money. This kind of issue can make other potential investors very wary and next thing you know, no one is investing in condo towers.

Signature should be close to going into sales at the end of 2008 to early 2009. Construction would likey start shortly after as this project is supposed to be complete by 2010.

Adelaide Street will have lane reductions between Sept 4 - 7th. Sales office to start to come down shortly after that.

There was a picture of the TIFF building in the Star on Saturday. I didn’t realize they were planning to cover the exterior of the building with balconies. I was shocked frankly since you cannot convince people not to use their balconies for storage - the building will potentially look like crap one or two years after opening. Great advertising for the TIFF! (and don’t tell me there will be bylaws disallowing storage on balconies - it hasn’t worked elsewhere why would it work here?)
