I hope they were in MSP taking notes on the new Vikings stadium which opened up last week. Problems galore, complaints galore and logistical concerns as people weren't really 100% impressed with the $1.1B project. Yes, inside, it's a nice stadium but it didn't really work like people expected for the money it cost.

Really? They have a cool stadium (still like ours better) and I'm surprised to hear this. Will have to look this up.

Yeah just from looking at pictures, I thought their stadium turned out great. Of course I haven't followed the proposal to construction process at all.
Hard to tell from the picture but there is supposed to be LED lighting in the panels. Maybe it'll be added post install. The stadium panels will glow, flash and throb during events. After a Falcons touchdown the thing is supposed to flash, probably red & white to let everyone outside know.

Atlanta United FC won’t enter MLS for another seven months, but the incoming expansion club has already sold more than 22,000 season tickets for the 2017 season.
Atlanta United president Darren Eales told MLSsoccer.com on Friday that the club has converted 22,000 of the 31,000 season ticket deposits the club received into full season tickets for their inaugural season. Eales said that the total would be the second most season tickets sold in MLS this year behind only the Seattle Sounders and that it was already a record for an MLS expansion team.
Atlanta’s new $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium announced Jan. 6 a series of month-long events lined up to celebrate the opening of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United’s future home.
Does anyone know if the city will connect Andrew Young Intl to Magnolia when the Dome is demolished? I hope so...
That would be nice but I think it is unlikely to happen. The plans for the Dome site include the new convention hotel and a tailgating friendly parking lot.
