That fog picture is cool!!!!

The glass is up to the crown now. We'll see a fully enclosed structure in a very short time!

the bow in Calgary cost well over a billion. i never believe a thing emporis says. its full of crap most/99.999999% of the time. for much more accurate figures for any type of building or big construction, whether it be cost, materials used and so on, i trust the formers right here at ssp to the fullest. they know much more about these things that emporis could ever hope to hold the information to.
btw this tower gets more awesome each day.

I would find even 13th hard to believe given the cheaper labor and land costs in Oklahoma. Just because it's tall, doesn't mean it's the most expensive. And it took a 2 level parking garage out, so it's not like there was prime land there either. It's land that had failed to develop countless times over. I'd bet that the land the Rennaisance Hotel was built on a few blocks over was comporable (adjusting for inflation 10 years later) for a much smaller footprint...it was smack in the middle of things and across from the convention center.

The glazing is pure money.

If Devon wanted to build two towers that were non-LEED certified and had half the amount of glass and no extras, then they could build two towers about 400-500 ft tall for 750million!

I have been enjoying happening across strange, faraway vantage points of Devon and downtown when I'm jogging or driving around... and speaking of Edgemere Park, you can really clearly see Devon Tower from the bridge over the creek at 34th Street.. Kind of hard to see in this photo, but it's just between two of the trees in the distance:

Dang, OKC looks so bad ass now with this tower. It needs a couple a more of this height and then OKC will be kicking it with the power players.
