EDMONTON | The Pearl | 35 FLOORS

Excavation for the new 35 floor residential tower called 'The Pearl" has been progressing through the summer. Over the last week or two preparations for the foundation appear to have begun. I watched as a rebar cage was assebled in a roughly 10 foot deep square within the excavated area. The base of what appears to be either for a crane or concrete pump was placed with its footings in the rebar and concrete then poared. I have a few photos from my phone camera and will post once I figure out how.

Thanks

Thanks. All that I could find was a thumbnail photo. It is great to have good quality renders on the first page so that pople can see what is to come.

That would likely be an aluminum panel that is painted... but real copper would be pretty cool.

old shot from 2001 so a lot of new towers are missing, but this tower is about 3/4 of the way 'down from the top' the skyline

Looks pretty good. I'm not a big fan of tacked on balconies, but for the most part it looks to be a decent tower.

The crane is now fully up. It's taller than I was expecting it to be and amazingly prominent from the south side of the river, especially the Groat bridge.
