^^^ actually i hated driving through Ontario more than the prairies. Seemed like the same trees, brown lake, and barren rock for endless hours.

A high up shot of Regina from the air; it includes the nearby Qu'appelle Valley system which is missed by the Trans Can... The highway heading from the city through the valley is the #11 to Saskatoon.

We're not entirely flat in the Southern part of the province, it's just that you can't really see a valley from a distance...

That looks amazing, but sorry you're flat as a pancake compared to 95% of the planet. I consider it an asset rather than a negative.

Aha I wish they were mine, my camera is way too shitty to take decent landscape photos.

My favourite is the badlands in Caledon, whenever I show someone a picture of them they always guess Alberta or Montana. Nope! Ontario.

I'm trying to think of landscapes in Newfoundland that mainlanders might not expect. I suppose, since we're call The Rock, it might surprise people that we have many fantastic, sandy beaches?

The best ones are on the island's southwest coast, with Burgeo's white sand beaches being the most famous - though certainly not the most accessible.

My personal favourites, however, are all the lakeside beaches. Here is one typical example: Golden Sands on Newfoundland's Burin Peninsula. There's a resort as well as privately-owned cottages.

Oh, I'm fully aware that a lot of southern Saskatchewan is completely flat, but that valley system is about 20 mins north of the trans can (and is periodically alongside the Saskatoon-Regina highway, so with the flattest part of the province being the areas the trans can goes through, it makes it seem like more of the province is flat than is true.

And I do love the flatness, being able to see as far as your eyes can see without anything impeding your vision is amazing.
