PLUS there's also Cityplace twins going up in the next few years, they are both 200m+ which will stand out.
Cityplace twins will make a big impact. Right up on the lake and also very tall.

The left side of the CN Tower will never have the density of the financial/south core. It'll improve over time, but it'll never be the same.

im not saying it will have the density of financial district, just want the city to increase the height limits in that area so Toronto can have 7+ skyscrapers closer to CN tower(left side of CN).

They aren't strict limits by any means. Developers are the ones proposing 750 square metre tower floorplates and 2.95 metres slabs heights instead of slimmer and taller. Height is an issue and arguably too much of an issue at times. Density still weighs heavier with these decision than the silhouettes of the towers. Mirvish Gehry went from 3 shorter towers to 2 taller ones and possibly will end up as 2 even taller, slimmer towers.

FCP sits 9th in koops' rendering. What do you think the chance are of it being dropped from the Top 10 by year's end?

I doubt it... unless

YSL gets tweaked.

I'm hoping for a brand new supertall proposal, one not yet seen...

Right, it seems it's been a while now. But to be honest I'd just be happy to see some of the ones we already have as proposals now get started.

I'd be curious to hear a proposal for a new World Trade Centre for Toronto, albeit I don't care for the height.

The Toronto World Trade Centre's office is tiny. Spearheading a project with 10,000 to 50,000 square feet would be a huge ordeal for them. A World Trade Centre branded tower capable of making the list is unlikely. In my opinion, any tower with a 400 metre roof height being built in Toronto is more plausible.

YSL is already taller than FCP.

My earlier post wasn't related to any potential proposal for this list, but more so a general comment of a speculative nature. It's intriguing as well how this list has really grown in height over the years.

Me too, but one in the 400-450m range.

Agreed, that would be amazing. I would love to see a pencil thin tower like on Billionaires row in Manhattan. It's a great way to allow height, buying up air rights over a block so you can build as high as you want. Toronto is decades off of seeing that sort of practice taking hold here. Still plenty of places to build a 400-450m tower downtown.

its funny how we(including me) love thin towers here in Toronto but NYC and Chicago hate them. ive seen so many people complain about the thin towers going up in Billionaires row.
