My apologies, but I can't help. I wish I could. That picture has fascinated me for quite a while now. I think you're right about where the location is, since you have an address.

I used to think that maybe that location was somewhere on Fair Oaks south of Monterey Road, looking at those river rock banister thingies that the kids are standing on. In that area, there's a post-WWII-era apartment complex that was obviously built on what was once the lot of a grand old house or estate or something, obvious because of the old river rock staircase that still exists.

Norman Leroy Marsh was born on May 24, 1902. His sister, Marion Elizabeth Marsh was born on August 7, 1906. They were the children of Norman Foote Marsh and his wife Cora Mae Cairns. Norman Foote Marsh was born on July 16, 1871 in Upper Alton, Illinois. Robert Marsh was born in Charleston, Ill. on January 20, 1873. They don't appear to be immediately related, at least for many generations. I can keep looking.

The cat does not look happy, but grown cats seldom are when being held by children.

The same neon framed the front window as well so that was one spectacularly lit little corner.

I thought the edge of the gray wall in the foreground might cause you some trouble but I see that it didn't.

I love that Duvall's chrysanthemum painting was displayed at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair (my favorite worlds fair by far)
