Unfortunately you're right

Maybe we could get into FMC Tower for our views now

No it won't. Here is a skyline view when the building was proposed to be 599 feet. Now it's shortened to 565 feet.

From this angle and distance, 599 of 565 ft will not be much of a difference.

Obstruction of skyline views is literally the dumbest complaint ever.

It's up there, but I'd say shadows or density (in the context of a building in Center City) are worse.

That being said, I don't think the previous post was against building because of the obstruction, just sad to potentially lose the view of one of their (and my) favorite buildings from one of the best vantage points in the city. I'm 100% behind the CTC but was still a bit bummed at how it blocked out Liberty from the Art Museum. Not a complaint - that's just how it goes.

On the other hand, how awesome will this building look from this vantage point?

^And from the south, I-95/Citizens Bank Park it will look even taller than 565ft.

still no CDR presentation date so that means it's still not at the next step. I don't think any building permit can be issued prior to hearing if CDR is triggered by project.

Funeral home is entirely gone. Bunch of workers were coming in and out of both the Warwick and the coffee shop.

Wait, this project never went through the CDR process?

Nope... and it's not on the August CDR schedule either. Not sure what's going on here. If it doesn't go to September CDR, this is not breaking ground this year.

Isn't Cecil Baker on the CDR. And, I thought he was somehow involved with brokering the design change for the project. Could it be a defacto CDR review already and need not go through formal CDR review?

No. Other Cecil Baker designs like 500 Walnut, One Riverside, 1324 N. Broad and 4th + Callowhill have had to go through the CDR, even though they were Baker designs. This will be no exception.

Notice posted of Board of Surveyors meeting set for Sept 5th to confirm striking of Moravion Street. Asbestos removal and other abatement continuing on the remaining buildings. Still no sign of an RCO or CDR meeting.
