ahh.. I can totally understand that...
Im at the bars along Tumon Bay alot too

But anyway, those pics are pretty awesome!

I was wondering if there is any somewhat affordable apartments on Oahu?
In Guam, I can go for $1000 a month, beachfront, and be close to shopping, restaurants, nightlife, etc...

Sorry for the late reply

There are definately affordable apartments on the island, and in Honolulu/Waikiki in particular. I was looking at one for $1500/month 1 bdr, kitchen, in Waikiki at one point, but while Hono is a fun place to visit, jeeeeeezus is the traffic bad. But there is some good affordable housing.

There's also a whole lot of unaffordable housing too...

Where I live, I'm literally 30 feet from the beach, pay about the same in rent, and is a nice clean place. Not much in the way of nightlife here though, but that's what Honolulu is for

My sister lives in Hawaii so I've been there many times. Landing in Honolulu is like landing in Phoenix. If you land from the west, you look down on a lot of blight that can be really surprising. I've always wondered why it isn't cleaned up. But that area of blight may not even really be in Honolulu (anyone know?). Once you drive east from the airport, you get into the beautiful city.

^Very nice shots, I love the mountains out there. BTW what's up with all the immigrant raids going on? They've been really cracking down lately and seem to be targeting Mexicans and other Hispanics more so than other groups of which there are many too.

Nice pics, I think I'll have to add some of my own in the next week or so (if you don't mind).

I think we finally found an apartment (what a horrible experience renting is here)... but we'll be in Moiliili, 24th floor, view out toward Waikiki and Ala Moana across to the Manoa valley. It's sweet... very Hon Kong-ish at night.

I am going next month, beautiful shots!
For me I like to attend my first Luau.. Do I have to bring my own food??
Also on the plans is a nice walk thru the city during day and night getting all sorts of interesting shots.

Wow, this place really is paradise.

Nice looking skyline and stunning setting. I really like the dark glass building with the cut-out.
