Polli-Brick

I posted on the thread you pasted here. Yes. Polli-Brick and the building look really interesting. Taipei is doing a lot of Green Things. The Taipei 101 is going through a lot of processes so that that can meet LEADS certification and become the 'World's Tallest Green Building'. With Polli-Brick, Taipei has another interesting story too. Taiwan has a LOT of solar cell manufacturers. So, you're right, its a great city to watch.

they should force new buildings to put solar panels on the roof/exterior walls.

I think you mean the LEED certification.

Taipei Polli-Brick & 101

Oops! Thank you MetroXpress. Egad! What an error! But, I am impressed that the 101 building is taking this initiative. I also think the Polli-Brick idea sounds good.

Razqual, you have a point. You would really want any new building to have embedded solar power. I don't know if the 'new' 101 or the Polli-Brick building will have that.

I took a walk around the area a couple of days ago.

Plan of the area:

Polli-Brick

Thanks for the photos, R@ptor.

The people who make Polli-Brick made a presentation at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Take a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH5rp5FpT2o

It seems from your photos and what they say about it in the presentation that they will use Polli-Brick as a curtain wall system for the building you pictured.

Is anything happening on the 101 building?
