LOL! Funny how Silverstein's image has gone from "Low End Larry," to "Hey, it's Silverstein!"

Talk about a change of heart. Seems only yesterday many of us hated Mr. Silverstein. Now we're eager to see his towers built.

Then we realized that it was the insurance companies and the Port Authority that were responsible for delays.

Not to forget the constant bashing from the media eager to put out a story.

Not at all part of the WTC, though it is being built by Larry Silverstein, who's also the developer for the new WTC, and current lease holder.

Oh. Thank you. But why dont they have a 6WTC?
I mean I really like all of the towers at the site
But wouldnt it be relativly stupid if they go by
1WTC, 2WTC, 3WTC, 4WTC, 5WTC, and than just skip to 7WTC?

7 WTC is called that because the original tower on the site was 7 WTC. As for the rest, they're just numbered in regular order.

^O okay. I get it. Thanks...
But why isnt there one?
I get how theyre ordered, and that theyre all being built by Silverstein, but I dont get exactly why their not building a 6WTC...
Sorry if its getting annoying, but its not intentional...

It's because to the developers, nuances like proper numbering of buildings matter little, if at all. Besides, the buildings seem to go by their Greenwich St. addresses more than numbers (e.g. 2 WTC is 200 Greenwich, etc).

Let's try to keep this one on topic though. If you have any more WTC questions, feel free to bring them up on WTC threads.

Play "Spot the construction sites", from Andrea Bez.

It's just to the left of the Woolworth Building.

Speaking of the Woolworth Building, it looks like it is in bad shape in these photos. Is there any renovation going on there? The back portion that faces this site looks like it is crumbling.

Towers 2, 3, and 4. Also pictured is the Beekman tower rising, and the Fulton St transit center. Silverstein's Park Place is directly next to the Woolworth. The shot gives you an idea of how close the sites are.

Ah, thanks, the site I was thinking of is the Fulton Street transit center. I had no idea it was that close.
