So we are a few days away from winter Olympics.

I have a couple of Friends over working at venues and with some of our NSOs.
No one has said anything bad but when you look at the photos they send back you see some of the issues. All internet is heavily censored and if you a critical you could be shipped home.

It was interesting to see some venues without snow last month then manmade snow now they are back to rain and having to make more snow.

Good start so far for the Canadian athletes

Quote:
The Dufour-Lapointe sisters all have a spot in the women's moguls finals at the Sochi Olympics.

Defending champion Hannah Kearney of the United States cruised through qualifying on Thursday, posting a score of 23.05, well clear of Montreal's Chloe Dufour-Lapointe for the top spot.

Justine Dufour-Lapointe took third and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe finished eighth, assuring all three sisters a spot in the finals.

Quebec City's Audrey Robichaud also qualified, placing ninth.

The top 10 finishers automatically advanced to the finals, with the remaining competitors returning for a second qualifying run on Saturday to fill out the rest of the field.

Martin St. Louis added to Team Canada after doctors said no to Stamkos. The guy deserves it so much... nobody has more pts in the NHL since the last Olympics.

Watch him become Canada's MVP!!!

The website of Canadian Olympic bobsledder Justin Kripps has been banned in Russia, after an image he posted of himself and his teammates in their underwear last month went viral. http://cbc.sh/yPBnquC

This is a great piece on how the structure of the tournament is basically all about making sure the best teams make it to the final rounds. Even if Canada had a fluke first round they'd still have a good chance to make it far.

Hot. Cool. Yours.

Worst. Olympic. Slogan. Ever.

Unlike Vancouver's torch malfunction, I doubt they'll gracefully and humorously deal with the fifth ring not opening since they covered it up on Russian TV.

This just reminds me. I downloaded and saved the opening and closing ceremonies for 2010 and planned to watch them when I got the chance and still haven't gotten around to it.

You know you're the world's ultimate procrastinator when...

Exactly. I watched it and we should have had a gold and bronze. The 5 th place was bs. He did the best run. But hey Amerika likes buying their medals.

Yeah, the judging was a ridiculous, and it wasn’t just the Canadians who got screwed. They’re going to have to clean that up for the next Olympics.

The Canadian kids talked trash about Shaun White pulling out, then they disappoint when it counts & all of a sudden it's a conspiracy against us.

Unfortunately it's not at all surprising.

Most Canadians would be on their high-horse bashing the Americans if it was the other way around & Shaun White was accusing Parrot of being scared.

Anyone else notice the mogul skiers have about 3 moves off the jumps? Looks pretty predictable
