^ The wasps are crazy now, personally I'd steer clear of the BDI area if carrying around ice cream!

Not sure if you are in the age range of enjoying some night life but there are plenty of spots to hit Friday and Saturday night.
weekend night clubs:
https://www.instagram.com/441main/?hl=en
https://www.instagram.com/citizenwpg/?hl=en
https://www.instagram.com/palominoclub/?hl=en
https://www.instagram.com/larocawinnipeg/ (food and lounge and bumpin patio)
https://www.instagram.com/pintwinnipeg/?hl=en (food and lounge)

There is also the Village, with few chill spots like G Martini, the toad in the hole, Upstairs ect. You can also take a little walk down Corydon ave, its lined with hang out spots that's always packed with people. Places like Bar Italia, Teos, Saffrons...just walk towards the mob of people outside.

Enjoy your stay, cant wait to see the pics you snap and, as a visitor, what you thought of Winnipeg.

I'll add a me too post for Forth. Go for coffee or breakfast during the day. Go again at night for the basement/rooftop cocktail bar, accessible through a separate door to the east of their sidewalk patio.

Fourth for rooftop cocktails last night, espresso this AM. LOVE IT.

Deer + Almond last night. Halloumi, pork belly, salmon, delicious.

The Mere is incredible.

the west end is great but its not really a touristy area as nothing is close enough together to make any sort of walking tour of it, i live in BGBX which is an interesting building but nothing of note to check out. but check out sleepy owl bakery and barn hammer if you have a chance

Peasant Cookery for lunch, ok.

Forks for a party, decent, but a bit 1990s. Excellent craft beerz.

Cibo for a late dinner, delicious.

Do they have any plans of actually completing BGBX? The concept was the 6 buildings with the cold exterior but they encircled a lush courtyard and were colourful on that side. Last I drove by there it was 3 buildings and rather than a courtyard it was a parking lot.
