Yeah, I find that hard to believe too. I mean, it was crowded, even at Beach and Cardero where I was at, but not 600,000 people crowded.

That's exactly what I was like for a good 5 years and that's exactly how I felt. I became really flamboyant after I came out to a point my closest friends thought I had gone perverted.

^ haha.

anyway, looks like it was a great time, best one yet? boy, layton's really put on the pounds, i remember a couple years ago when he was wearing leather and pumping his arm like he knew what it meant, looked good then.

i marched in pride sf a few weeks ago, now that, that was a crazy time, though i was with some politicians and not the go-go dancers (unfortunately). the best float was the goth one, on man, so great, their bone machine just drives by with all these goths staring blankly out and this churchbell ringing out every few seconds all gloomy. i'll try to remember to post some pics when i'm able.

^ i've been to the 2006, 2007, and of course this year's pride parade. This year was by far the best one.

Pics below were taken by myself. Quality is a little grainy as they are hosted off Facebook. I stopped taking pictures about halfway into the parade as my camera battery died.

Those photos remind me of a segment from the documentary/movie, Religulous, that dealt with some gay/religious issues. In fact, that music is playing in my head right now !

it's interesting to see a couple different churches out supporting the parade...

Well, it was a hot summer's day. I'd image a large portion of that number were included because they happened to be downtown.

Dont forget that the parade route is also a lot longer since last year when they changed the starting point to Robson & Thurlow... accomodating more crowds and spreading them out more?

That explains it. This probably includes all the people that were downtown that day. That makes more sense.
