As I said before, there are some photos (20 to be exact) taken by me with cellphone. They are from 2012 and 2013. I hope you will like them too

Yep, all by phone And thanks by the way - I have loads of these kind of photos and I want to share them with all of you out here, so I'm working on a new thread. This time it's gonna be much more interesting. I recommend the wait and see approach

Great thread - you've done a great job for your hometown - I love all those curvy details on the buildings from the 20s and 30s.

Thanks Bedhead I'm happy you think like that I do this (photographing my hometown) 'cause I like it and it brings me joy. However, I would like to make a tour around some other cities in Poland and post the photo results out there. I'm talking about places like Krakow, Warsaw, Lodz, Wroclaw, Poznan, Torun etc. I think it's only a matter of time. Anyway - The next thread about Gdynia is around the corner. I hope you'll like it too

Nice pictures! Does Gdynia has an old town as well, like Gdansk?

Thanks Nightsky The answer to your question is no. And I don't take it as a negative thing if you ask me. Gdynia's a very young city compared to other known in Poland: Torun, Gdansk, Warszawa or Krakow. So it's pretty rare for a city to not have an old town/town square.

I have now visited Gdynia for a couple of hours, unfortunately the weather was grey despite it was good during my Gdansk and Sopot visits. I will get back with a thread, but don't expect as good pictures as yours.

It's one year later and I have tons of much better pics but thanks for that

Can't wait for your Gdynia thread as it's my city and I hope you're gonna give your honest opinion on what's good and what's not.

I'll try, but it is hard since I only visited for a couple of hours. To be honest I spent the majority of this daytrip in Sopot.

Sopot is more calm while Gdynia is more busy. If you were here in Poland to rest I'm not surprised you chose Sopot over Gdynia but in my city you can rest as well too
