EnCana spin-off Cenovus releases its logo:

Given all the recent chatter about branding (and being a logo/brand junkie myself), I thought I would start a thread about the newly released Cenovus logo. I am totally underwhelmed by it, personally... Given that this company is EnCana's "offspring", and the company is pretty progressive, this one falls short (IMO). EnCana Corp is keeping their logo.

What does everyone else think?

Should have gotten Gensler to design it.

I'm wondering it a prime motivation for EnCana/Cenovus to acquire the balance of the South Block (CUPS and Police Headquarters) is to house Cenovus.

Doesn't really matter to me. Cenovus won't be around long enough to make the logo a big issue.

Either that or Cenovus will grow like crazy by taking over other companies etc... and 3 years from now, will be designing a new tower that will be taller than the Bow
