Great photos

One that really stuck out to me is the foot print of those Potereo Hill Projects, how low density they are. Amazing on some of the most costly real estate on earth

Other interesting ones are the office tower alone among town homes in low rise South City. Such an odd place for a condo tower

Do you have any idea what town that second photo is of the suburban sprawl? Looks like Eastern Contra Costa or Alemeda counties

Yeah, that's not San Francisco, but rather, some nearby suburb. Hard to say which one. Perhaps Bill remembers?

I am not sure why this developer was allowed to build this. I watched all of those townhome get built. Parts of San Bruno Mountain are being encroached upon. The mid rise is 100% auto dependant (a walk to Caltrain is possible but very unpleasant). Not a wise landuse decision when you consider there is a new Bart station across town in South City

Interestingly there is still what I believe is a working flower farm about half a mile up Hillside road. When my father was a child this was almost all farms

To me it looks like at least 40 miles from SF. I can't think of anything near by that looks like that. I am thinking far Eastern Contra Costa or Alameda county. Maybe Brentwood?

Pittsburg, CA

So, yea, it's far from SF. Hell, it's far from east bay, it really doesn't even belong on this thread! Sorry about that .

Oh, and thanks everybody!

Whoa! You are smack in SFO airspace--almost right over the runways. How'd you manage that?

By asking for clearance...same way we did our pilot just didn't overfly the field directly.

Yeah, many of the units in the PH projects are unoccupied as well. If it weren't for the projects and nearby industrial areas, Potrero Hill and Hunters Point would be prime locations for some big ass mansions.

I really dislike that tower on mount San Bruno in south City though...it's just badly placed (and ugly), I don't know what they were thinking.

Beautiful pictures. Has anyone ever thought that Mt. Tam looks like Diamond Head in Honolulu?

They were thinking they'd build more, and Jack Meyer (the prime developer has proposed several additional towers to the area. The building is still ugly however.

My issue with them is the location. I would guess close to 100% of the people who live in that tower drive everywhere.

Towers near South City Bart I think would be wise

What have I been missing? Have I not discovered one of the wonders of the world? The wonder known to the rest of us as San Francisco?

Daly City or South San Francisco? A town with absolutely no redeeming urban anything. But thanks for hosting our airport and biotech:-)
