Lots of people around L.A. (especially in Hollywood and Venice Beach) try to sell you their music:
Famous Griffith Oberservatory....aka the building where the Transformers go to chill:
Love that roof:
It was Star Wars Celebration week in L.A. while I was there, so lots of these guys walking around the city trying to make a quick buck:
Vegas building a hotel Dubai??
Looking down on Hollywood with the Capital Records building right in the middle:
If you haven't been to Vegas, all along the strip there are these guys who try to hand you these little cards with phone numbers for "escort" services on them....and when you walk by these guys, they make a funny 'flicking' with the corner of the cards. Almost everywhere you walk, you will see the sidewalks littered with these cards.
This magican had this setup in front our hotel where he will stay in this box of ice for 24 hours and he will have four girls rotate every hour by standing beside him....this would be impressive in 0 degree temperatures in Toronto, but not 105 Fahrenheit temperatures.
Back Lucky, we are glad, you're back.
Bad Lucky, Las Vegas in a Glad bag. sorry... it's not you...
LA looks good as always, even LostVegas becomes «acceptable» through your lens.
You keep the shape man... same style, as I appreciate it every time, every thread.
Thank's for now, but never do this again, I mean, Las Vegas and staying away for so long.
Serge

Gosh, a tremendous series of photos - fantastic - what an eye for colour and detail you have! I very much enjoyed them - thank you...
I must confesss though, I can't help finding Las Vegas unspeakably vulgar, however beautifully it is photographed!
Chelsea Spy, though you may compliment the photographers on this site, you consistently tear down the cities they visit or even possibly live in. There is no perfect city, even the hole in which you live or the rock from which you crawled out from under. I find you and your comments, "unspeakably vulgar" and you should probably keep them to yourself or visit the cities that you have been slamming to know for certain why people live there. You are evidently young and new to this cite, so unless you choose to mentally grow or cease your hatred of American cities, please keep your thoughts to your unhappy self!
Goodness me, denveraztec I certainly don't hate American cities, nor do I consistently 'tear them down' as you say - in addition to calling Las Vegas 'vulgar,' I believe I expressed the opinion that Alberquerue was a little bland looking, and that's all. As a European I can't help but find the Vegas casino spectacle of faux European (or other American) cities rather bizarre - interesting as an example of crude populist postmodern aesthetics , but rather tragic when compared to the 'real' cities they are based on.
That said, I certainly appreciate the chance to see pictures of such places, which are inevitably fascinating. I believe many American cities have been spoiled by poor development and a car reliant culture, but that's certainly not a judgement on the inhabitants of such places. Nor is this opinion entirely without authority- the great American urbanist Lewis Mumford said much the same thing about American cities in the 1960s.
