Sens Tickets

I have a friend from Germany who's spending a year in Canada and will be in Ottawa for a week or two (or three, hopefully) and I though to myself, "What a prime time to show him the heart and soul of Canada; HOCKEY!"

So I found a brochure that showed the lowest price being 15$. But as inevitable as death, there will be hidden costs.
So the cheapest ticket I could find was 40$.

Does anyone know how to get cheaper tickets?

Yes, I do! Just sign up as a Sens Insider and get the Student Rush deals (if you're a student). They will send you an email a few days before the game and the tickets are dirt cheap (if any are left). A couple of years ago (before the Sens cup run) I used to be able to get 200-Level tickets for $25! This is from the email I received a few minutes ago:

You could whore yourself out on the streets. I'm sure there lots of season ticket holders who are willing to get you a discount. Bhahaha.

It depends on who you're going to see.. tickets for the Leafs or Habs are always more expensive than, say.. Phoenix or Nashville. I remember seeing a Leafs game last year in the nosebleeds and the tix were worth 80-some dollars (I didn't pay for them, I know a guy that works for the Sens.. ).

Try to get tickets for sun-belt or western conference teams, they'll be cheaper.
