So the Schuylkill Yards twitter account is active now. Their first tweet yesterday, which is now deleted, said that when it's done by 2027, West Philly will be completely transformed. That's only 9 years from now. They know something we don't? ;-)
Anyone think that electric bikes could transform what neighborhoods are able to be lived in for commuting purposes? Seems that electric bikes could solve a lot of the septa cover deficiencies and open up a lot more neighborhoods.

Dude... We've seen hints going around the supposedly provided evidence that Amazon made the decision. But this is the first one that pointed towards Philadelphia. That made me much more excited than I should be.

On the west side of this city’s main Amtrak station sits an empty lot. But soon, it will be transformed into a public park filled with lawns, walkways and even redwood trees, in the first stage of one of Philadelphia’s biggest real estate projects.
The 1.3-acre park, to be known as Drexel Square, kicks off a 20-year, $3.5 billion development that aims to create a hub for technology and life-sciences companies called Schuylkill (pronounced SKOO-kul) Yards. Not only will the project fill in an underused section of real estate, it is also intended to develop business opportunities for research coming out of Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania, both just a few blocks away.
It's also irrelevant. As you would expect with a billionaire, he also has multi-million dollar homes in New York an other places that are on the top 20 as well.

In reality, I don't think the writers of any of these articles know any more than we do. Amazon is going to be tight lipped about it. And probable a few key decision makers not withstanding Bezos, himself are the only ones that will have a say.

I’m sure Amazon seriously looked at Philadelphia and watched the Eagles Parade of Champions a few weeks ago, so take that "news" with a grain of salt.
