Cool Chicago!

Because the BEARS crushed so hard today in the cold and the snow, I'm sharing a few pictures from my hardrive. There're nothing special nor specific.

I love Lake Michigan.

The University of Chicago.

One of the pleasures of not being American is that one can take the great aspects of the nation such as the Chicago skyline whilst knowing nothing about the cumbersome stop start tedium of Gridiron.

How that sport is so popular in a nation which has baseball and basketball is beyond me.

I love baseball, but it is much more tedius than football, which is fast-paced by comparison.

Anyway, I never get tired of Chi-Town pics and I hope the Bears take care of business in Miami!

Always fun to see Chicago. Even though some of them gave me a shiver, nice set. The canyon shot (3rd pic) and the El shots, were my favorites. Thanks.

Great pics AXS (minus the Bears emblem of course! ) Notice in the second photo from the bottom how small the Board of Trade looks today. And to think that for about three decades it was the tallest building in Chicago! Villelumiere - If you ever want to discover American style Football come to Green Bay, Wisconsin. We eat, breath and sh-t football! What is "baseball" anyway?

All of the photos from this view are from my Lakeview apartment.

And these from my roof.

GO BEARS!

Nothing beat the wet heavy snow that closed out the game yesterday. Perfect.

I live in the building on the left hand side of the top picture in the above post.

My neighbors across the hall are getting walled in by a midrise going up next door. Ha! The new building will be in the dead center of that picture.

The University of Chicago looks very nice. It must be pleasant to study in this environment.

I'm adding some more photos that I had on my phone, and they where taken throughout the month.

Ducks in the snow on the Chicago River!

Chicago in the winter: cold, snow, and cold.

Gothic

Leaving my house this morning in 4 degrees with a -18 degree wind chill... ouch!

And this is across the street: my favorite homes in the city!

Row homes look weird when one burns down. It looks like a missing tooth.
