Frisco project under way for Connecticut lighting firm HQ

Dallas had more new apartments than any U.S. metro in 2017

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' real estate company has plans for a new project in Irving

The same team that developed the Cowboys' huge Star in Frisco is working on the mixed-use development in Las Colinas. The almost 28-acre project is planned at the south corner of State Highways 114 and 161.

Plans filed with Irving's zoning commission say the development will include a hotel, retail space and apartments on the vacant corner.

Frisco projects will total $500 million with at least 1,000 homes

A local developer and homebuilder, Green Brick Partners Inc., has purchased three parcels of land in Frisco with plans to build more than 1,000 homes.

Green Brick says the new neighborhoods on Coit Road and Eldorado Parkway will be valued at more than a half-billion dollars when they are completed.

The residential projects will range in size from 172 to 354 homes and will include a mix of home types and prices. Construction has started on the first project, called Frisco Springs, on Eldorado Parkway west of Preston Road. It's next to where the city is buying land for a new park.

1,000-home community valued at $300 million coming to Forney

Long-time Dallas developer Wynne/Jackson plans to build the new Oakland Grove community in Forney on 336 acres on FM 548 between Interstate 20 and U.S. Highway 80.

The $300 million project will have homes priced between $275,000 and $400,000.

"Our objective is to deliver a very high quality, highly amenitized master planned community like you would find in the northern submarkets, but with excellent proximity to the largest employment base in D-FW and with quality homes that are much more affordable than what you would find in the northern communities," said Wynne/Jackson principal Michael Jackson.

Billingsley Co. plans major addition to Plano office park

The buildings are four stories and are along Plano Parkway west of Dallas North Tollway, development plans show.

"We are going to start construction on the first building in May," said developer Lucy Billingsley. "It's a four-building campus with a park and great amenity center in the middle."

The first building will be about 178,000 square feet, according to the plans. Dallas architect GFF designed the project.

International Business Park has more than 1.4 million square feet of office space, which is about 90 percent leased.

Tarleton's set to begin construction on first Fort Worth building this month

Tarleton State University is set to break ground on its first building in Fort Worth on Feb. 27. The building is part of a planned 80-acre campus along Chisholm Trail Parkway.

Currently, Tarleton-Fort Worth rents space in the Hickman Building on Camp Bowie Boulevard and in the Richard C. Shaffer Building on Enderly Pace. About 2,000 students are enrolled at the Fort Worth location, but the school hopes to expand to 9,000 students on the new campus by 2030.

The first project is a 76,000 square foot, three-story multipurpose academic building and has a budget of almost $41 million.

Coppell office campus will include six buildings

California developer plans Farmers Branch warehouse project

The industrial development — called Valwood Logistics Center — will be built on an almost 12-acre site near Valley View Lane, according to filings with the city of Farmers Branch.

Rockwall apartment project planned by San Antonio-based developer

Frisco OKs land sale clearing way for major new office project on tollway

The property next door will be used for a 300-room Sutton Place Hotel and restaurant. The hotel will be developed by the Canadian company owned by Dallas Stars hockey team owner Tom Gaglardi.

Huge data center campus on the way in Richardson

Huge distribution hub on 82 acres coming to southwest Dallas

Aubrey, known for its sprawling horse farms, will soon get a 2,600-home development

The 800-acre Sandbrock Ranch community is being built in Aubrey, north of Lewisville Lake.
