yeah the FB photos are okay but nothing like seeing everything collected together on one thread. Just wish I would had more time and my tripod.

The pics cant really show how good a time I had. I saw so much!!

And there is nothing quite like rolling home on the train at 6 am after partying all night. That was a rough train ride home.

Thanks. There was so much to take in. I'm still sad I didn't get more night shots.

Go, you'd love it. Very ecceltic city. Some area felt segregated but at the same time it's what made things beautiful. Little india was a trip. I know lots of Indian people in Houston but there is nothing like that here. The area around the university of Chicago was amazing too. Take out all the cars and it would feel like a complete time warp. It reminds me of the area around Rice univ here but on a much grander scale.

That was everything I want out of a Chicago thread. You know, I really want to go to Milwaukee just to see what it is like, but it is hard when Chicago is right next to it.

Joe, how long were you there? You really did a lot! You must have been exhausted coming home. So many great angles. I can't wait to shoot Chicago again myself and spend more time doing it! I have to do New York first though before I go back.

Try not to feel too said about not getting more night shots. You did quite a bit during the day. During my last visit there, after shooting from the JHC, I was too exhausted to do any street-level night shots. With all the shooting you did during the day, I wouldn't have been surprised if you had been too exhausted to do any night shots even if you did have your tripod. I don't know how large your tripod is, but I have a collapsible tripod that I fly with that I just drape lengthwise across the top of my carry-on. No problems traveling with it.

You did enough without your tripod and more than made up for it with what you've captured here. Everybody is quite pleased with viewing this thread.

MY tripod is pretty bulky. Its an old sunpak. Its crappy but heavy so it works good. I looked at buying a smaller one while I was there but the only decent ones I saw were like 100-150 and I didnt feel like spending that much.

Why did you not make it up to the observation decks, though? Too overdone? Your take from up there would have been interesting to see any way. I don't care how overdone the Skydeck or JHC are. It's you doing them!
