Coverage from the MBJ with those number$! The Pyramid is paid off 4 times over in the first 15 years and the lease is optional for 55 years. Even if it doesn't quite reach those numbers it will be a complete success for the city.

Its good to see something finally being done with the Pyramid...hopefully this can spark interest and some redevelopment in that area.

Thx for positive feedback arkitekte. The city is very excited about this project and it took so long for negotiations to be completed. I almost cannot believe it myself, but Robert Lipscomb has delivered the Great American Pyramid.

Good news to me. I don't know about others, but I'm tired of seeing Walgreens, Rite-Aid & CVS popping up on adjacent corners. Plus, CVS were trying to tear down a historic church for this. I have to agree with Memphis Heritage on this one.

The Regional Medical Center Of Memphis (the nation's busiest Level 1 Trauma Center that serves a six state radius) can now make annual deposits in the tens of millions and planning will move forward for the development of a new $330,000,000.00 hospital bed tower which will greatly increase efficiency. God save the Med.

I actually found some pictures the other day on the internet of the Pyramid under construction...Ill post them when I get a chance.
