Glasgow & Edinburgh

Spent a couple of days at a conference and had an hour here or there to explore both cities. Didn't bring along my proper camera though so these cell phone pics will have to do. Both cities do prove that contrary to popular belief, it is not shite being Scottish. Let's start off with the larger one of the two cities, Glasgow...once known as the second city of the empire.

Nice pics. We don't get much Scotland on SSP.

I'm honestly not a big Glasgow fan, but Edinburgh is probably my second favorite city in the the British Isles. Scotland, overall, is underrated (except for the food).

Great pics! I've been to Glasgow (ironically a year ago today), but haven't made it to Edinburgh yet. One of these days I would love to see more of Scotland.

No modern buildings?

Sometimes in these older historic cities, there's a newer section somewhere out of the downtown core.

Gee whiz! I haven't been to Glasgow or Edinburgh since 1989.
