You know what we should all do, is when tower 1v2 is complete we should all come together and meet there then have a huge dinner to celebrate the completion of the tower.

Wow, it's climbing higher and higher. And, in comparison with many other construction site views, FT construction looks really massive. I'll try to make my own 3D model of One WTC and certainly will post it here.

"Beginning activity will include the installation of hangers on the 1WTC structural steel and be followed by the placement of the curtain wall panels themselves."

Wonder who writes these PA reports ?

The anchors for the curtain wall from the 20th floor up are clearly visible on the edge of each floor slab.

In defense of the PA (a rare case), it's a reference to third quarter activity...but it could be clearer.

wow from the post made by NyGuy and on the first pic the tower was up including the inner core stll to 36 floor, now its up 2 floors at 38, so it look like tower 1v2 will surpass verzion aka varcy building pretty soon.

Sorry I had to force you to defined the PA.

In the scope of work I bid on for Tower One was the floor edge anchors for the curtain wall, all 12,480 of them.

To answer the question about the glass color, "The glass is to be "Super Clear"". AKA, no tinting at all. The glass of Tower Seven is also "Super Clear". (Every window well have power actuated blinds to keep the sun out on hot summer days.)

That is a major disappointment.

That is also what attracts major tenants. Forget narrow and closed in settings; tenants want light and lots of it to fill their space. That’s the reality of the modern day office tower.

Zen mentioned that 1WTC's glass is similar to that of 7WTC. If this is true it will look spectacular, without a doubt.

I am already jumping for joy!!! I am glad I got pictures of this one a week ago. I was absolutly stunned by how massive the lobby is and has gotten since I was last there!!! I even think the large concrete blast wall was designed perfectly to blend in considering that it's supposed to be just an enormous protective wall! I will have to go back again in 6 weeks or so because by then this one will have seen some major progress (commencement of cladding and surpassing the Verizon which is 492 feet) at a level that has and will continue to only speed up!!!

BTW, that dinner idea is an EXCELLENT idea Domamania and BStyles...

I'm sure this question has been answered multiple times, but I don't want to search through 496 pages to find it.

In those renderings, it appears both of the foundations of the towers that got blowed up are going to be water features, and this new building will be across the street. Can I ask what was there before this building?

I am curious to know if they can only start on the next three levels if the last three are finished, or if they can go one floor up right after the third one down is done?

I heard a while back that OSHA requires that a building can only have steel construction three floors above the last completed floor.

Sorry if this Q has been asked already. Some of you have asked about when they think One World Center will surpass the Verizon building in height. My Q about the Verizon building is....How far away is it across the street from One World Trade???? These photos make it look like it's about 60 feet away.

For those taking photos.... Please keep up the great work. This site has become an addiction to me. I'm checking it at least twice a day for new photos. Thank you for your time & effort!!!
