New company eyes redevelopment of Sports Castle site on Broadway
July 18, 2019 By Thomas Gounley - BusinesDen
Quote:
In February, BusinessDen reported that an executive with Atlanta-based Wood Partners had submitted a development project concept to the city, proposing to flank the structure at 1000 Broadway to the north and east with a 16-story, 511-unit apartment complex.

That was replaced this week with a new project concept, proposing to build 13-story structures on those two sides of the Sports Castle.
Couple of more details perhaps?
Quote:
The proposal was submitted by an architect with Shears Adkins Rockmore, and named “Castle Broadstone.” The Broadstone branding is a hallmark of Phoenix-based multifamily developer Alliance Residential, and Shears Adkins Rockmore is the architect behind the company’s Broadstone Uptown complex, which is under construction.
So another words it should look just like these buildings already under construction except taller?

Presumably, and if they look as nice as those projects then everybody should be happy.

Press Release

Hyatt plans location of one of the world's 20 best hotel brands in downtown Denver
Jul 23, 2019 By Ed Sealover – Reporter, Denver Business Journal
Quote:
Hyatt (NYSE: H) will debut an 11-floor, 216-room facility with 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space at 1600 Market St., officials said Monday. Several years in planning, the project comes as the brand concentrates on growth across the Western United States and will serve as a way to increase the urban-focused brand’s visibility with business leaders and other travelers in the increasingly important Denver market.

Thompson, listed among the 20 best hotel brands in the world previously in Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards despite having just nine locations, is an upscale brand that offers luxury amenities, such as an indoor/outdoor terrace with a lounge and bar on the sixth floor that will have space for 140 seats.
Hyatt picked up the Thompson brand from an acquisition of Two Roads Hospitality.
Remind me who's doing this project?
Quote:
For the Thompson Denver, Hyatt officials worked with: T2 Hospitality of Newport Beach, California, as the sole hotel owner, which is developing the property; DLR Group of Denver as the architect; and Parts + Labor of New York City as the interior designer.

That's great ^^^^

It will compliment the Market Station project across the street once it's finished as well. Plus it's replacing a parking lot.... so win-win here.

Great project!

If only we can find way to fill this hole at 17th and Blake! It was going to be hotel, but that seems to have fallen apart.

It might cause pedestrian congestion but this gets my vote.
