I think my Canuck hatred has reached an all time high - I'm truly hoping for an Oilers win tonight.

Ew.

I'd trade Stajan for a bag of pucks right now. Literally. He's never been any good. Sutter must have drank some Toronto Kool-Aid when he traded for him, let alone that ridiculous contract.

PS: Nicko, new avatar? Given up on your team already?

Man Luongo's days in Vancouver are numbered, they have to be. He is the most over rated goalie in the league!

I don't know what Sutter was thinking with half the trades he made. He got rid of all the good players (save for Iggy, Kipper and Regehr) and created a team full of second and third liners, with no prospects.

I agree, but they cant trade that albatross contract. Easily the worse contract and most overated player in the league. Cory schneider is a far better goalie. Going to be a long ten years in vancouver.

I'm sure soeone will take Luongo, he is a pretty good goalie, just not very consistent. Someone call Charles Wang and Garth Snow, they like loading up on goaltenders. lol

Luongo has 10 years left on his contract, which is very expensive to boot.

Good luck finding a team that would trade for that.

I think Lu needs to go to a non hockey market.

He is still a very skilled goaltender, he just clearly cannot handle the pressure.

I still love the guy but I wouldn't mind seeing him go for something young and easy on the cap. Free up some room for a much needed big D man.

This is my thinking, too. He obviously is bothered by the intense media scrutiny and it shows in his play.

It showed when he basically slammed his teammate for daring to pose nude in a magazine. I think Bobby Lu is a bit of a shy prude. Not quite the media star successful hockey players have to be in this country.

I say he can still be successful in Vancouver. If the media is getting to him, maybe he could go the Kipper route and become a mute.

If he can ignore everything around him and only focus on his game, he'll do fine in the long run.

No, I change it occasionally and right now the Habs don't deserve to be in my avatar. New avy will come once Martin is fired.

They asked Lars Eller last Saturday what adjustment the team made once Gustavsson came in to replace Reimer in the second. Eller was surprised as he though Reimer played the whole game.
Last game, we saw the assistant coach pull the goalie because Martin wasn't even paying attention to the game.

I think it's time for a change, Martin has lost his mind. The Habs have blow up leads in 5 games so far this season (league worst) when we're usually one of the best at defending.

Hopefully Philly will be kind to us tonight.

EDIT: **** wrong guy. Next is Martin... PLEASE!!!

An Oil win over the nuks and a deal today to approve our new $450,000,000.00 DOWNTOWN ARENA opening for the 2015-16 season.

A good 24hrs indeed.

Yeah, definitely a tough sell. This is why you never sign anyone to a contract that long, especially a goalie!

Good job Edmonton! now all you need is that elusive $100 million. At least this way the plans can start.

So jealous. Calgarians are being absolute cheapskates about a new arena, and having already lived in a city that lost its team due to a lack of new facility... I'm not looking forward to the years ahead if something doesn't give.

i am confused, with the amount of corporate support your city has i would have thought it would be pretty easy to get the funding privately. hell naming rights alone would probably go for a pretty penny.

care to inform the ignorant (me) of the situation down south?

So this is what a win feels like! Pacioretty is a beast. Lets hope nobody gets stretchered off against the Bruins tomorrow.

I've got 4 Flyers on my team, and they were -9 tonight. Rough.

Wow, Pacioretty should ALWAYS play injured...

Last year: Cracked rib, didn't miss a game and scored 2 goals next game
Tonight: Ligament damage in wrist, didn't miss a game scored 2 goals and had 3 pts.

Said it last year, Pacioretty is the best offensive forward on this team.

Third in the league in even strength pts...

Congrats to Price for his 100th win... 7th youngest goalie ever to reach that mark.
