Over Christmas, I traveled to Tokyo and Thailand. I was only in Tokyo for a day, but for some reason, managed to take more photos in the course of those few hours then I did in any of the other major cities I stayed at. I'm a slow photographer, so please forgive that there are relatively few photos in this set. Enjoy!
I woke up early in Tokyo to start taking pictures. This is about as empty as you will ever see the place.
Breakfast of champions.
Originally, I had very elaborate plans for lunch, but being the Jew I am, I forgot it was Christmas day. Christmas in Tokyo is like Valentines day: everyone goes out for a romantic meal. As such, I was unable to secure reservations at any of the sushi bars I so wanted to try. Eventually, I just walked into a random sushi bar and sat down.
The above fish is known as Squilla, and is incredibly hard, if not impossible, to find in the U.S. I've always wanted to try this. Tastes like a more tender crab.
Aaaaaannnnddddd.... Kokbang.
Who wants Catfish?
Can't do that in L.A.
Meet Myson.
I love Elephants.
The not-so-sunny beaches of Krabi.
Peace!
