Thank you for you contribution to this forum. You're a valuable asset.

Have you thought about joining that New Eastside Group?

Maybe you can join and enlighten them on the positives of beautiful architecture, density and what one must live with if they are to live in the central area.

there are obviously ripples, but the south side glass is looking phenomenally mirror-like so far. more so than I though possible. of course, you can see for yourself (pictures tonight)

^^^ Even more so than Aqua? Aqua is eye candy from like 30 angles, I have a hard time believing this building will pass it...

I agree, but still...I think Legacy is going to be in the "Better than expected" category. However, I kind of feel like Legacy and Aqua are siblings, jsut because they're the same height at the same time, and both great buildings, though the iconic label probly can't work for Legacy.

I think that once the novelty of the "waves" on Aqua wears off, because you can only see the waves from close up, other than that it just looks like any other BOX building. IMO Legazy will be MUCH better, it has more to it, better location,IT will be seen by more people than Aqua will. IDK, I just think it stands out more that Aqua does, and if they dont do anything to the railings on Aqua, we will all be depresed.

^^^ I think that you all underestimate how visable the waves on Aqua will be from a distance. The only reason you can't see them from Millenium Park right now is that you are at relitively the same angle as the balconies are at floors 50 and lower. Once they get into the higher floors, the waves will become much more pronounced from a distance. Its sorta like Venitian blinds, if you have them perfectly level (open) you can see right through the ones close to your level, but the higher above you the slats get, the less and less you can see through the window and the more blinds you see. If that makes any sense.

Either way, Legacy is still a great building and will stand as such on its own merits, especially if the glass continues to turn out the way I think it has been.

After seeing that photo I've decided I'm going back to Chicago for a vacation for about a week, lol. Im coming there in about 3 weeks so Trump should be topped out I think and I can finally take some photos like my name implies. Thanks so much for that photo. I'm coming home! YES! I havent been back in 11 years and I probably wont even recognize where I used to live anymore. I grew up in this city and I think about it all the time! I have to finish college first though and then I can move back permanently! To get back on topic I cant wait to see this tower with all of that awesome reflective glass on it. It will look amazing once completed!

They're putting the funny "column cladding" on the west side now...
