Looks better than Casa 1.

plus it also looks like it will have fritted white glass balconys in contrast to the clear glass balconys of Casa 1

Agreed! That area is going to look so different in a couple of years.

I lived on Charles St. West about ten years ago. Back around the time the Uptown Cinema was being demolished. When I go back there to visit, the area feels like a different neighbourhood with all the new development in Bloor-Yorkville. Off the top of my head, I can count 28 towers either built or U/C that weren't there when we moved out. (edit: make that 31).

I think Casa2 will end up looking much more attractive than her sister. I like the slimmer profile and actually appreciate the fact that the "hat" is still there, but with a different mechanical variation above that. I think if Casa2 maintained just the "hat" like Casa1, then the tower wouldn't look right (at least to me it wouldn't). Plus, having the balconies fritted - is also a plus. And what's with the night time renders, do people go condo shopping in the evenings?

The crown seems like an afterthought.

I really don't know what to make of the podium but E for effort as far as landscaping goes. It'll definitely beats the asphalt and sad litte flowerpot outside the Regency Yorkville.

Maybe they'll add those 5 floors back on. This was originally 62 floors and 202m.

Any word on finalised height? Would be good if this broke the 200m mark.

I think it probably will. They will apply for a minor variance and add additional floors once construction starts.

This project sold out within a week and there don't seem to be any issues with shadowing.

What's taking so long? Caltrane announced the arrival of hoarding 8 months ago. Are the guys from U moonlighting on this?
