They're shying away from specifics of the program because they're trying to be flexible for future market demands - especially given how quickly the retail environment is changing these days.
Thanks for sharing! Those would be the best two spots for development, IMO. On top of the parking podium really solidifies that "corner" as a magnet for the area, while the glen iris/ponce parking lot development could be a boon to development along Ponce back toward Midtown.

One signed lease so far with others with letters of intent. Plan is to be heavy on food and beverage, per the article. The last part is really promising.

"Construction is likely to start in October or November. Tenants could start opening in spring or summer 2018.

“Ultimately, we want that street to be a really cool neighborhood destination,” said David Nelson, senior vice president of real estate company Carter.

A joint venture of Carter, Oakwood Development and Healey Weatherholtz Properties owns the buildings along Georgia Avenue. It paid $3.2 million for the property, as Atlanta Business Chronicle reported in February.

It’s about 30,000 square feet. The plan is to add other new buildings along the avenue that blend in with the historic structures."

Anyone know if there's a July DRC meeting?

I've seen on this blog that if its not on the Midtown Alliance website by Friday there's likely no meeting, but its been a while it seems

Thanks, good people

Next Friday.

There will not be a June meeting. The next public meeting will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 5:30 PM.

DON'T QUOTE PHOTOS
While it is not a big sexy building there is a classiness to it. It will be a nice addition to the skyline of Buckhead.

Now I know what I was looking at at the gym today. I suppose it isn't any more vanilla than its next door neighbor.

Kind of reminds me of the Mandarin model several years back. Midtown bout to make a splash. Seriously.

I'm undoubtedly the old geezer of the forum but to me this looks like a sharp, upscale residential building. Traditional, but the curve gives it some pizzazz. I think it would make a nice addition in most any city.
