Whatever it is, they've now set the bar pretty high, so it better be pretty damn good.

This has to be the most exciting development in New York City since the original World Trade Center. It just keep getting bigger in scope!

Who can forget this beauty?

I'm looking forward to the pictures from the Jersey side. I just picture a Dubai like scene with dozens of cranes. It will be like that too because the whole surrounding area is also booming. Also the high-line as well will provide a unique vantage point.

A statue of Bloomberg drinking a 16 oz soda. Seriously, I look forward to seeing this complex rise but sorry if I sound stupid but are they constructing the buildings over the rail lines or deconstructing the rails to place the buildings?

The rail lines are below-ground. They're building a platform over the trench and building above the active rail lines.

They haven't even selected an architect. There's no sculpture design yet.

North Tower will be built on NE corner of Hudson Yards site where utility buildings are and will not be over tracks, at least not the structural part.

Could someone please refresh my middle-aged memory and explain how they intend to build on a platform above the underground lines without getting to bedrock?
Thanks to anyone who can steer me to an answer that's already been made to this question.

Look at the images above. They are building between the rails. On this section of the site, there aren't as many as the western half.
