Impressive (albeit linear) skyline given the metro population.

Saint John has a very, very nice compact centre dominated by Victorian-era architecture.

The SK Leg lit with the colours of the Humboldt Broncos, with the province's flag at half mast, and downtown Regina in the background:

Yeah, the skyline pretty much has two nodes, one stretching along the waterfront as well as another pushing south along Ouellette Avenue. It would be nice to see some expansion to fill in some of the central core though, it really needs help in that department!

Jeez, I still love Regina's skyline. It's so impressive for a North American city of it's size, as well as the wicked architecture - post-modern, prairie, and brutal.

I’m a fan of Saskatoon’s, and it has the most potential to truly transform into something special based on its location and existing stock. Like most cities it has a few too many commie blocks, but throw in some solid new buildings with a couple innovative landmarks and watch out. Really liking Edmonton as well, sure it was kond of bleak in the 80’s and 90’s, but the new wave the last five years is looking good, and some of those original skyscrapers are looking pretty damn good - CN Tower from the mid 60’s for example; kinda of like how people appreciate mid-century furniture design now.

Saskatoon has some major catch up to do IMO. Considering population and economic growth there over the last 20 years there is probably pent up demand for some new towers. I think you're right in that they could come out of the next decade with a totally new skyline.

Saskatoon has that nice River Landing development going on which is looking promising. I’m not very familiar with the city but based on the pics it appears the site is out on the edge of the downtown area. The skyline needs some density, it has too many gaps compared to Regina.

Yeah, Saskatoon's downtown highrises are mostly laid out in a long thin line along the riverbank. River Landing really just extends the skyline further along the river. It will bulk up the skyline from certain vantages, but not others. It does nothing to densify a core skyline.

I agree with zoomer though, there's enormous potential. We just need a couple decades.

This is relatively (summer 2017) recent (One of the SSP London-based forumers took it from a hot air balloon). It is now found on wikipedia.

The tall building under construction has been finished (exterior, that is). We have two more tall buildings under construction in the core, and another 6 or so approved/consultation. Probably the largest number of new tallish buildings going up at any given time in London's history.

^ That's probably the best pic of London I've ever seen in terms of getting the overall lay of the land.

And that's the world's oldest baseball park right there on the bottom left.

^Such a nice picture and not an angle usually seen. I love the mix of styles and old buildings... A few modern condos (like mid-rises) sprinkled throughout would be nice.

Love the direction Halifax is heading in.
