I am going after my freelance Press photo access. Had an acquaintance get one last year, we plan to team up this year. The pros are quite willing to give positive pointers to the newer guys. One was to scout the course before and look for great or unusual shooting locations.

The atmosphere in downtown Calgary last year for the finish was unbelievable. Enjoy this year, Edmonton.

I was at the prologue last night at COP - very fun.

Had a couple of friends there as well. It did not look like a good turnout on TV. Lets hope we load up the streets like last year. Especially with some Canadians in the hunt

The turnout looked decent considering the time it started.

Anyway, I'm still surprised there isn't a mountain stage, I figured they would for sure this time. Though with reports of snow on highway 22 down by the #3, perhaps it was a good call! lol

I'm thinking I could watch the start, then walk the course and see them pass 11 time before watching the finish, and view from 11 different locations. Sounds like an awesome time.

Canmore did not want to put up the money and the GOA is not funding the ride at the same level as last year.

If this goes off next year I could see GP and McMurray doing something.

GP would be good to see highway 40 south to Grande Cache used.

I have a spot picked on Bellamy hill then head over to my fathers place and watch the boys climb Victoria Park hill.

I have a race in the morning so will be pushing it a bit.

Just curious - what time does it start? And approximately what time would the finish be?
