Thanks for the update! I like the overall height/proportions and the alternating balcony design, but the asymmetry of the north facade (first and third pics) is driving me nuts. It's especially disappointing given that it will stand out as the the tallest building in South-East False Creek. Still, I think point-towers of this height (or well-defined midrises like the OV) would have been a better development form for the area than awkward stubby things like Wall Centre or Lido.

I'm not sure how the red will look on such a sleek design.
It may be an odd juxtaposition of old (red paint and heritage building) and modern designed tower.

It's so nice seeing a tower without the ubiquitous town houses at the base! The old restored warehouse is much more interesting and different (I'm so sick of the town houses everywhere)

^ seriously. they're so awkward and street-killing, virtually 100% of shades drawn, stupid yards that are absolutely never used, etc.

I'm not quite so against them, but the reason they exist and sell (for a premium) is because there's never anything above 2 Bedrooms in the towers (if that).

Does anybody know if Opsal has any 3 bedroom units?

Not as street killing as blank walls, parking lots, empty concrete plazas; vibrant commercial spaces can't be everywhere, nor should they be.

Impressive photo. I count twelve cranes, including the Potain crane and just a smidgen of the red crane at the MEC HQ site on the far left of the picture. That's as many as the Olympic Village at its peak of construction activity.

Yes, the photo does leave out few more cranes left and right. It's an impressive sight with all the construction going on.

Is there any red on the east facade of the tower (not just the podium?)
