Happy Christmas everyone! I'm having an affair on the Mountain West this year.

From tonight:

I've been on a huge space kick today.

This video truly amazed me. All those stars in one corner of one galaxy. Hundreds, thousands, millions of possibilities for life in that one little corner and we will never get to visit it in our lifetimes.

I always wonder if there is some civilization over there looking at us in awe going 'Damn, that's a lot of stars in our neighboring galaxy [Milky Way], I wonder what they're up to.'

Whether we ever actually find life there or not, I think we should consider Jupiter an enemy planet.

Agreed. But where do its moons' loyalties lie? Can we turn Ganymede to our side?

What baffles me the most is how big space is. Imagine the United states... It's a huge country. It's almost too big... And it covers solitude area. Now imagine the whole earth, and put the earth in to perspective with our solar system. It's incredibly small... And then put the solar system in to perspective with the MW Galaxy, and the MW Galaxy in perspective with everything. There's too much to explore...

Sometimes I wonder if other civilizations have skyscrapers.

No, tall buildings block their view of the Milky Way Galaxy so they have height limits and view plane ordinances to prevent anything over 4 stories.

We'll just take their air, once we access their airlock code. It shouldn't be too difficult; the idiots used the same code as I use for my luggage.

So, if Idaho is going to be turned into a giant bong, which state will be the ashtray?

Utah will be the Vaporizer. Because we're healthy, high-tech, economical, and efficient like that.

Wyoming can be the ash tray, since it's the closest to the pot-burning portion of the bong.
