Lightbulb HOUSTON | Mosaic (2 Towers) | 358 FT / 109 M | 29 FLOORS

Mosaic

In Brief: 2, 29 story residential towers connected by a shared amenities building and parking structure with street-level retail in the base. Overlooking Hermann Park and the Medical Center area with views of Downtown and other areas.

Construction: 2005-2009

The first tower and the amenities structure were the first phase of the project and were completed in late 2007. The second tower began construction as the first was wrapping up and should be completed within 2009.

Developer: Wood Partners, Philips Development & Realty
Architect: Preston Partnership
Contractor: J.E. Dunn

omg I love the entrance of these two buildings! and they have great views! Herman Park/ Medical Center in the front and to the left Downtown!

Technically, that credit should go to the architects since the developers here (Wood Partners, Phillips Development) and a number of the Novare projects use the same architectural firm.

From what I've understood, it was designed to have the concrete exposed in most of the places it already is (garage & side facing along Almeda).

The second tower topped out in September, and the ceremony was held on September 26th.

I love these buildings. When I was back in houston and walked around Herman Park, they had a really good presence. Maybe someday, Herman Park will be enclosed by towers, making it into a sort of Central Park of Houston. That day is far off, but now we are 2 towers closer to that possible realization.
