Possible bad sign for Opus, there is no longer a bulldozer on site - not that the one that used to be there was doing anything.

Good riddance. I saw the hand writing on the wall when they got rid of the Hotel element. That area is hotel ripe for many other luxury Hotels...

Atlantans who maintained that Atlanta didn't have the goods for this may have had the last laugh.

I keep telling you, that site is cursed. If everything proposed there were all built on top of each other, the thing would be 300 stories tall.

Yes. Are any you of old enough to remember as I do when Promenade was originally proposed to be three towers, the tallest being a true skyscraper, and only the shortest one, Promenade II got built.

edited to add: Just doing a little bit of research of this I see I'm not quite correct, as 1180 Peachtree was developed at the site of what were to be the other two taller Promenade buildings.

Would have been so cool to have something by Calatrava here in Atlanta.

Some Jewish holiday. I'm surprised you weren't able to guess based on the very Jewish-sounding 'Doyle' and 'Fang.'
