A lot of nice old architecture still left. I have a friend who lives in Perth and he says he feels like he is in BFE. Kind of funny as they are closer to the biggest population centers of the world than we are.

Nice pics. Some of those pics are blocks away from my house in Cottesloe. Perth is a challenging city to enjoy because it is spread out and doesn't really have much of a tourism industry.

Yeah, I found the transit pretty good, not so great at night, and the frequency was a bit to wait for but it was fine. I stayed in Nedlands and there was a frequent bus to the downtown which was great. Had 4 days to just poke around on my own.

That fat-faced bhpbillion building just blocks 1/3 of the Perth skyline.

The US has some spectacular beaches along the east coast and in Hawaii. California's beaches ain't half bad either. If you add Puerto Rico to the mix, it gets even better.

Canada's ocean beaches are ass in comparison, but we have some nice fresh water beaches around the country.

Long beach in Tofino is gorgeous regarding scenery, and is great for surfing, but yeah generally too cold and rough for swimming.
