Nice find, val. That reminds me, a friend of mine found this pano on the Library of Congress website (you can search for old images at this page)…

Wow, incredible pano, Sekkle. A lot of those buildings are still there today, but you can see how many have been lost over the years.

Two more panos I made recently. Click for full-size if you're interested...

This one is made up of 46 photos

this one was 37 photos...

Just read the news about Park Ave. West. That's too bad, I always think when I'm taking these pics how cool PAW would look in the middle. Too bad it will be 10 floors shorter...

Two panoramas of Beavers and Timbers at PGE Park

Here is a retouched panorama of about 250 photographs of the Beavers versus Colorado Springs. It was retouched to fix the exposure of the sky, field and composite any missing players from extra photographs.

Full Screen
http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapanFu...n.php?id=28231

This panorama of about 646 photos of the Timbers versus the Puerto Rico Islanders has not been retouched yet. I am having to develop new techniques to retouch this because it is about 4 gigapixels in size. You can see the crowd much better because of the camera and lens combo that I used, but the overall image is not aesthetically pleasing yet. Zoom in to see who is in the crowd. Attendence is over 14,000 for the night.

Take a close look at the uppermost Skybox on the left hand side from the Timbers game. Our Mayor and Merritt Paulson appear to be having a private conversation. I guess this is how things get done in this town...

Gigapan of Convention Center from Red Lion

Here is a gigapan of the convention center and downtown at night from the Red Lion. I took two panoramas at the same time. This one is with a shorter lens, but the AC unit on the roof turned on half way through the capture. So, I am not sure if the larger one will contain more detail.

Click on the image to go to the full screen gigapan. Use your scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Drag the mouse around.

Crevasses on Mt Hood

If you zoom in you can see the crevasses on the Reid glacier between Yocum ridge and Illumination rock. The Palmer lift is down and behind Illumination rock. The top of Palmer is at about 8600 feet and Illumination saddle is ( I think about 9600 feet, need to check )

Click on the photo to go to a full browser panorama. Then zoom all the way in and look around.

Oregon State Versus UCLA ( 756 photos )

OK. this is not of Portland, but I though that some portlanders might enjoy this large panorama of the Oregon State versus UCLA game and might find themselves or friends in this 756 photo panorama. It needs to be retouched, but that will take some work ; )

Great pic^

-Is attendance usually that low to not even begin filling the upper deck or was is closed off for some reason? I love OSU's campus. It has a very traditional collegiate atmosphere.
